These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Retabuc (“we”, “us”, “our”) for the Mahjong Switch application (the “App”) and app.retabuc.cc (the “Site”). By downloading, installing, or using the App or the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
01 Agreement and Apple’s terms
If you obtained the App from Apple’s App Store, your use is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement the Standard EULA. If they conflict, the Standard EULA and any mandatory law that applies to you prevail.
Apple is not a party to these Terms, does not provide support for the App, and is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Standard EULA and may enforce it against you.
You must be old enough to consent to these Terms in your country. If you are a minor, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.
02 Your license to use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules. This is a license, not a sale: we retain all rights in the App.
You may not copy, redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, sell, or commercially exploit the App; remove or alter proprietary notices; or use the App in a way that violates applicable law. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.
03 The game
Mahjong Switch is a single-player puzzle game with no advertising, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no paid content. All 200 campaign levels and the Daily, Challenge, and Endless modes are included.
Gameplay, progress, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not provide a cloud save, and we cannot recover progress that is lost because the App was deleted, the device was erased, or progress was reset. The support pages explain this in more detail.
04 Leaderboards and fair play
Leaderboards are an optional online feature. They use an anonymous profile with an automatically generated display name; there is no account, and display names cannot be customized. Your display name and scores are visible to other players.
To keep rankings meaningful, you agree not to:
- use bots, macros, automation, or modified clients to play or submit scores;
- tamper with, intercept, or forge requests to the leaderboard service;
- exploit bugs to obtain scores that a legitimate attempt could not produce;
- submit another player’s scores or impersonate another player;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, scan, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its data;
- use the leaderboard for advertising, harassment, or unlawful activity.
The service validates submissions against level data and may reject impossible scores. We may remove entries or restrict leaderboard access if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. Leaderboard participation carries no rewards, prizes, or property rights. Scores may be reset if the scoring rules or level data change materially, and the service may be modified or discontinued.
You can ask us to delete your leaderboard profile and entries at any time. See the Privacy Policy for how.
05 Acceptable use
You may use the App and the Site only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not use them to violate anyone’s rights, to distribute malware, to interfere with the operation of the App or Site, or to access systems or data you are not authorized to access.
The Site’s support form prepares a message in your own email app. Do not use the support address to send unlawful, abusive, or unsolicited commercial content.
06 Intellectual property
The App, its code, graphics, audio, level designs, text, and the Mahjong Switch name and logo are owned by Retabuc or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights in them except the limited license above.
You may share screenshots or short clips of your own gameplay for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not use our name, logo, or artwork in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our written permission.
Apple, iPhone, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Mahjong is a traditional game; Mahjong Switch is an independent puzzle game and is not affiliated with any Mahjong equipment maker or tournament organization.
07 Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the App and Site process, why, and how you can exercise your rights. It is part of these Terms.
08 Availability and changes
The offline parts of the App are designed to work without a network connection. The leaderboard and the Site depend on third-party infrastructure and may be unavailable from time to time.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features, modes, or the leaderboard service. We may also release updates that change how the App behaves. We do not guarantee that any particular feature, score, or leaderboard will remain available.
09 Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and Site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App or Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of harmful components, or that defects will be corrected. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer guarantees in your country.
10 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, progress, profits, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from or related to the App or Site — even if we were advised that such damage was possible.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the App or Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, which is zero, and (b) the minimum amount required by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11 Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place where Retabuc is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts that those laws allow.

12 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will provide a clearer notice on the Site or in the App before it takes effect. Continued use of the App or Site after the effective date means the updated Terms apply.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
